Meyers was never interested in acting, till the time he was spotted by a casting agent and was some what forced to go for the auditions. As he was chucked out of school, when he was sixteen, he simply use to wile away his time at some of the local pool clubs. Not doing much at that time he thought of giving it a try.
Though unsuccessful at his first attempt, he started his acting career with an add campaign for Knorr soup. After which there was no looking back for him. Soon, he got a small role in his first movie “A Man of No Importance”. He got his first main lead in the movie “The Disappearance of Finbar”. This young look alike of Tom Cruise has worked in movies like “The Maker”, “Telling Lies in America”, “Ride with the Devil”, “Vanity Fair” and “Bend It like Beckham”. The star is currently starring in the hit series “The Tudors”, where he is playing King Henry VIII.
Meyers has been linked many a times with various co-stars. But since 2004, he is been linked with Reena Hammer with rumors of their engagement. Jonathan as for now resides in London. He likes to spend his free time at his home in Los Angeles. Meyers is a talented singer and musician and has even performed in “Velvet Goldmine”.
